On May 10th, Feini Chinese School, located in downtown Phoenix City, held its semester graduation ceremony. Vice Principal Deng Junquan presided over today's ceremony and encouraged the children to study Chinese culture seriously and with idiom stories such as Mencius' mother moving three times. Eva Li, the school's chairman, also came to give a speech. She congratulated the students on their academic progress through hard work, expressed her heartfelt thanks to all the teachers and volunteers for their hard work, and expressed her gratitude to the Overseas Chinese Federation General Office and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Association for their long-term support and help to Feini Chinese School. She expressed her wish for everyone to work together to make the school develop better. Students in each class gave presentations and performances based on the knowledge they learned last year. It was Mother's Day, and the children's performance was full of blessings for their mothers. The first-grade children learned to sing "Only Mom is Good in the World" in Chinese, and even performed with their grandma, which was sincere and very touching. Four children from the martial arts class performed a dance between two little lions, sometimes lying down and sometimes jumping up, which made all the children dance with joy. At the meeting, Chairman Eva Li and Principal Cui Changqi issued certificates of honor to outstanding students and perfect attendance students this year. Wang Peixin and his wife, Chinese senior citizens, gave exquisite lanterns they brought from Nanjing, China as prizes to outstanding students of the year. Zhang Huafang, consultant of the Overseas Chinese Federation, also sent gift coupons to teachers and volunteers. Teachers, students and parents also enjoyed the exquisite lunch prepared by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Association. The graduation ceremony ended with the laughter of the parents performing a line dance. Everyone wishes each other a happy summer and see you again on August 9 this year when the fall semester begins. Our school is located at 734 W ELM St. Phoenix AZ 85013. If new students want to register, please call Principal Cui at 602-258-5670 or Principal Deng at 602-295-9651. (Submitted by Feini Chinese School)
