(Contributed by the Federation of Overseas Chinese) Every year on July 4th, the Overseas Chinese Federation of Phoenix City holds a traditional Chinese gathering to celebrate the National Day of Independence of the United States. In previous years, the Overseas Chinese Federation held the Miss Chinese beauty pageant and carried out celebration activities. This year, Phoenix Satellite TV is scheduled to hold the Miss Phoenix National Beauty Pageant in Phoenix City in early August. The Overseas Chinese Federation has decided to hold the local beauty pageant on another date this year. The traditional activities to celebrate the National Day will be a large-scale celebration of the National Day party in the form of self-entertainment. All Chinese overseas groups, organizations and individuals are welcome to participate and celebrate the holiday together. At present, the Overseas Chinese Federation has organized a group of volunteers to actively carry out preparation work. In mid-April, the youth essay competition "My American Dream" and the painting competition "I Love America" ​​have begun collecting submissions. Excellent works will be selected on June 1 and June 10 respectively, and awards will be given at the celebration meeting. The celebration is scheduled to be held at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church (46st. And Indianola). A variety of food is available for free at noon, including American BBQ, HotDog and Chinese food.
