Most of the attendees were workers who have been engaged in Chinese education for many years, and some have taught and worked in the same school. They are usually busy, but now they have the opportunity to talk to each other. The conversation between new and old friends was lively, the atmosphere was friendly and harmonious, and everyone was very happy; colleagues expressed their appreciation for Principal Li Zhen, who is about to leave Phoenix and return to China. Best wishes, everyone cherishes the friendship forged in the joint Chinese education work; everyone is also particularly grateful to the three principals from Tucson for coming all the way to attend the meeting; the participants paid tribute to several colleagues in the state who have been engaged in Chinese education for many years. Everyone was very emotional. Only those who love Chinese education and Chinese culture, are full of love for all students, have selfless dedication and a positive and optimistic attitude, and have the perseverance to face various challenges without fear of difficulties can we continue to do a good job in Chinese education for many years regardless of remuneration.
At the meeting, arrangements were made for the Arizona lecture series of the "Expert Lecture Team" for overseas Chinese teacher training that will start in August this year. Ms. Zhou Qing, the new chairman of the Hope Chinese School, was elected to be in charge of the training activities in the Phoenix area. Mr. Chen Rongji, the principal of the Zusun Chinese School in Tucson, was in charge of the training activities in the Tucson area. The principals of other Chinese schools will fully cooperate with the training of Chinese teachers in Arizona this fall.
Chang Shuai Zhiruo, president of the National Association of Chinese Schools, explained at the meeting the preparations for the 10th National Congress and Chinese Education Seminar of the National Association of Chinese Schools, which will be held in Phoenix from December 12 to 14 this year, and to hold the 20th anniversary celebration of the association at the same time. Since its establishment in 1994, the National Chinese Schools Association has developed into more than 500 Chinese schools, with more than 100,000 students and more than 8,000 teachers. It is the largest Chinese grassroots organization in the United States. In the past twenty years, the association has successfully held nine biennial conferences across the United States. All conferences have received strong support from relevant departments in China and the United States and have attracted people from all walks of life to attend the conference.
This is the first time the association has held a national Chinese education conference in Arizona in its 20 years of existence. At that time, representatives from Chinese schools across the United States will gather together to exchange experiences and study new measures to better promote Chinese education and promote Chinese culture under the new situation. The heads of various Chinese schools in Arizona expressed their active participation in various tasks of this conference and took this opportunity to push Chinese education in the state to new heights.
The heads of Chinese schools participating in the meeting discussed and decided to establish a local Chinese school organizing committee in Arizona that is in line with the organizing committee of the conference under the framework of the conference organizing committee. The chairman and co-chairman of the organizing committee will be the heads of Chinese schools in the state. In the future, we will set up a document group, liaison group, protocol group, reception group, public relations group, advertising group, venue group, equipment group, banquet group, performance group, gift group, printing group, prize group, video group, news group, etc. as needed, and we will invite Chinese education enthusiasts to join.
The heads of the Chinese schools attending the meeting unanimously expressed that they should work together, divide the work and contact each other, actively seek the strong support of overseas Chinese community members, Chinese people in the entire community and relevant people in mainstream society, and jointly participate in the Chinese education event, push the Chinese education in the state to a new height, and promote the further development of cultural and educational exchanges between China and the United States.
