On May 18, the Phoenix branch of the Association of Scientists and Engineers in the United States (the science and engineering college) held its annual election in Phoenix. The College of Science and Technology is an independent, non-political, non-profit Chinese group composed of Chinese professionals in Arizona and officially registered in Phoenix. The members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Science and Technology Professionals are elected by the general membership meeting of the association, with a term of one year and can be re-elected for two terms. All directors, consultants and members are voluntary to serve the Association.

The meeting was chaired by Xu Qiang, chairman of the board of directors. After voting by all directors, Ms. Li Yu was elected as the president, president Yang Xia served as the chairman, and Mr. Li Jiang was elected as the vice president. The meeting also elected the new council members: Li Jiang, Li Yu, Qin Feng, Wang Hongfeng, Xu Qiang, Yang Xia, and Yuan Yahua. Xu Qiang and Yang Wentian serve as consultants of the association. The new working team is: Secretary Zhang Futao, Finance Liu Yanni, Culture and Sports Yang Xia, Academic Activities Huang Wen, and Member Development Deng Shengwen. President Yang Xia reviewed the activities organized by the College of Science and Technology in the past year and hoped that more healthy and beneficial activities could be organized for members and friends in the new year.

>The purpose of the Association of Science and Technology Professionals is to promote contacts and exchanges between Chinese scholars, engineers, and professionals in Arizona; encourage Chinese to integrate into local society; maintain contact with other Chinese organizations and international students; promote and promote exchanges between China and the United States in science and technology, culture, education, and business; and increase mutual understanding and cooperation between the people of the United States and China. Anyone who is willing to serve the community is welcome to join our volunteer team and participate in various activities organized by us.
