————Memory of the first recitation and speech competition
(Contributed by Alberta Hope Chinese School) To measure the mastery of a language, there is nothing more than starting from the four skills of "listening, speaking, reading and writing". These four skills complement each other and are indispensable. In normal Chinese teaching, teachers mostly use students' reading and writing proficiency as test content. How to consider whether students can use the words they have learned to express themselves well is undoubtedly a reform in teaching. For this reason, school leaders spent a lot of time and energy organizing this recitation and speech competition, which can not only understand our students' oral proficiency, but also provide students with a platform to showcase their talents. This competition attracted a total of sixty or seventy children from junior high, middle and senior grades to participate. The lecture theater was full of students, parents, and teachers, and it was enthusiastic and orderly. The children attach great importance to this competition. Many children come with their own manuscripts and express their own opinions and opinions. The first-grade group performance of "Ma Liping" - "Text Mix" kicked off this competition. The children recited the texts they had learned in their immature children's voices, with proficiency and order. The parents present could not help but applaud them. Next came the competition for the lower grade group. The story of "The Lion and the Mouse" brought to everyone by Jiayi Yu was light-hearted and full of meaning. This is what Jiayi learned in the textbook. Applying what he learned is the consistent teaching goal of the school. Aesop's fable "The North Wind and the Sun" recited by Deng Yuxuan was short, concise, lively and interesting, and left a deep impression on everyone. The first place in the lower grade group was won by them. Compared with the youthful performances of the lower grade group, the performances of the middle grade group appeared more mature and refreshing. Liu Tingna, a sixth-grade student, brought everyone a prose poem "Who Am I". The poem itself is a mystery. She described the answer so vividly that the audience could easily think of it as "water". Such an original choice of material earned her the second prize in the middle grade group. Ding Ruifan, a fifth-grade student, recited the song "If I Were a White Cloud" rewritten by his father for him with perfect accuracy and vividness. The whole poem imagines oneself as a white cloud, giving his love to the birds, hard-working people and all living beings on the earth, cheerful and relaxed; "Sun, are you a painter" written by Zhang Qiusheng? " is a prose full of childishness. Mao Yujiao's recitation perfectly interprets the child's innocent and lovely character, love of nature, and feelings of being close to nature. The first prize in the middle grade group must go to them. If the students in the middle grade group already have a certain foundation in language mastery, then the students in the senior grade group show a higher level of language, and they can integrate the language knowledge they have mastered into their own thoughts and expressions. Classmate Zou Kaiwen believes that Chinese has been regarded as one of the important languages. Nowadays, many Americans with tall noses and green eyes can speak fluent Chinese. As descendants of Chinese Americans, there is no reason not to learn Chinese well. This is what he said in "Americans Speak Chinese, It's Natural and Righteous!" 》points of view stated in. Gao Rubi's "Dancing My Wonderful Life" regards her favorite dance as the most indispensable part of her life, and we can't help but applaud her wonderful life. The level of the students who won the second prize is evident. So what kind of works will the students who won the first prize bring to us? Classmate Yang Hanwen talked about the emergence, development and influence of Chinese martial arts on other countries in the world. He won unanimous praise from everyone with his relaxed and smooth language style. Chen Zhuoting used the famous line of the famous American philosopher Thoreau, "Why do we live in such a hurry, waste or ignore the happiness of the present?" as an argument, and discussed why people today do not enjoy the happiness of today, but desperately pursue an unknown tomorrow. We have to marvel that a teenage girl can have an epiphany on such a profound philosophical point of view. Their "Chinese Martial Arts" and "Should We Always Strive for Tomorrow" demonstrated the extraordinary level of senior students, and they deserved the first prize. After ten years of sharpening a sword, after many years of polishing by teachers and the diligent efforts of students themselves, the school's education for students has finally blossomed. We have sown the seeds of language in the hearts of these children. These seeds slowly sprout and grow, and one day they will become towering trees. When their leaves are in full bloom, they will bring us an endless forest. This is also the ultimate purpose of our school. Although this competition is over, parents are still unsatisfied and hope that the school can hold the same event every year. Behind every successful event are the unsung heroes in front of and behind the scenes. Teachers Shi Jingwei and He Zhouzhou and principal Tian Lin spent a lot of time and energy planning and preparing for this event, and invited three well-known figures in the Chinese community: Mr. Tang Xiaoxian, Ms. Wang Xinxin and Ms. Zhu Jie to serve as judges for this competition. The three judges took time out of their busy schedule to accept the invitation and gave a fair score to the event. The school and parents expressed their immense gratitude to the three judges. This competition is just the beginning. The school will continue to explore and reform in future teaching to cultivate more outstanding talents for everyone.
