(Contributed by the Art Institute of Alberta) It is the National Day of Independence in the United States again. Under the organization of the Chinese Federation of Chinese Associations in the Greater Phoenix City, nearly three hundred local overseas Chinese participated in the grand event at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Believers. The solo dance "Singing Spring Songs" selected by the Arizona College of the Arts was a great success.

Dancer Tan Xiaolin, who is only 15 years old, uses body language to depict the spring scenery full of vitality. She lowered her sleeves and fluttered, like willows in spring, dancing lightly. Use your own green to awaken all things. Sometimes she spins, sometimes she dances flatly, and like a gorgeous butterfly, she dedicates her most graceful dance to spring. A pump of the legs, a lift of the feet, every movement reflected solid basic skills, and received bursts of applause from the audience.

This is another display of professional dance skills from the Art Institute of Alberta after the 2015 Spring Festival Gala performance. Following "Peng Tianyue, Xie Zhizhi, Zhu Meilin, Long Xinlan", many young actors such as Tan Xiaolin and Yang Jingwen have stood out and become the rising stars of Chinese folk dance in Phoenix City. Tan Xiaolin has been studying Chinese folk dance for 5 years. In addition to attending normal dance classes every week, she also works overtime and takes small classes. In just a few months, her basic dance skills have improved significantly. After Tan Xiaolin's performance, the host rushed to the stage for an interview. The elegance brought by her dance made the hosts think that she would be a very powerful contender for the future "Miss Chinese Phoenix".
