Qiu Wenqi won the Southern California Outstanding Model and Outstanding Youth Award. In order to celebrate the Centennial Youth Day of the founding of the Republic of China, the Chung Hwa Association and all overseas Chinese in Southern California held the 2011 Southern California Outstanding Model Youth Commendation Conference. Southern California selected a total of 25 young models and elites from all walks of life to jointly commend, reward, affirm, and value the service, achievements, and contributions of model youths to society. Chiu Wenqi, Chairman of the Taipei Sister City Committee of the Phoenix International Sisterhood, won the Southern California Outstanding Model Outstanding Youth Award. She was recommended and nominated by the Southern California Chinese School Association and is the only young awardee from Phoenix, Arizona.
