Hu Shoubai is enthusiastic about donating to charity (picture) Alberta Times: The residents of Fengcheng Kangning Apartment for the Elderly are mostly Chinese elderly. Since the windows of the residents on the basement floor are low and close to the street, they are often disturbed by naughty children and have restless nights. Last month, under the joint agreement of the parties involved in the Leisure Preparatory Committee and Yu Wenjin, a senior overseas Chinese leader, they asked Mr. Hu Shoubai, a retired businessman and real estate developer in the local area, to donate 10,000 yuan in the name of the couple to the Leisure authorities. The money will be used to install iron fences in Kangning Apartments so that the elderly can live in peace. Mr. Hu's generous act and enthusiasm are commendable.
