The Kaiping Mutual Aid Association of Kaiping, Alberta, is preparing for the Dragon Boat Festival celebration (picture) Alberta Times The Kaiping Mutual Aid Association of Alberta announced its establishment on April 3 (see page A1 of this newspaper on April 8). It immediately started preparations for a grand celebration meeting during the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in the countryside. There will be a joyful gathering. The association's establishment celebration meeting was held on Sunday, June 5, at the Chengcheng Restaurant. The address is: 2075 N. Dobson Rd., Chandler, AZ. 85224. Currently, we are busy planning a program that will be enjoyed by the public. Fengcheng Restaurant will provide delicious tea and steamed rice dumplings with local flavor in Kaiping for members and friends of Kaiping to celebrate the festival. , pop songs, chorus, dance performances, musical instruments, lion dance, etc. Guan Zongren, the honorary president of the association, will donate ten valuable large-denomination silver coins. Many restaurants and shops will also send out a batch of gift certificates for the public to draw. The gifts are rich. Many people attending the celebration will be lucky winners. Invitations to the celebration have been sent out at the beginning of this month, and invited participants must reply before May 13 to report the number of attendees so that seats can be arranged and gifts and food can be prepared. The association's board of directors said that the public is warmly welcome to attend the celebration. The celebration event starts at 2:30 p.m. and starts at 3 p.m. Entry fee: 7 yuan per member, 10 yuan per other person. New members are welcome. New Kaiping Friends can join before the meeting. The annual membership fee is 10 yuan per person, and a total of 20 yuan for the couple.
