Haikou City delegation paid a goodwill visit to Scottsdale (picture) Group photo of Haikou delegation representatives, Scottsdale City representatives, and local overseas Chinese (Qingbao) At 8:30 a.m. on July 14, a six-member Haikou City delegation paid a goodwill visit to Scottsdale. The main content of this visit is urban management, social public health, and the construction of medical emergency systems. In the morning, Scottsdale Mayor W.J. ‘Jim’ Lane and Sister City Association Chairman Max Rumbaugh Jr. received a delegation led by Haikou City Standing Committee Member Song Shunyong. Li Caiping, president of the local Overseas Chinese Sister Cities Association, Gao Zhizhong, overseas Chinese affairs committee member, and Fei Jian, president of the Overseas Chinese Federation, also went to the Scottsdale City Hall to greet guests from afar. The Mayor of Scottsdale led the guests from Haikou to visit the City Hall, and particularly pointed out that the architectural style of the City Hall was derived from the architectural style of the Native Americans in the western United States. Many of the photos and art works displayed were characteristic of Western cowboys. The members of the delegation also experienced the style of the American West, wearing handsome cowboy hats and taking photos with the mayor. In the morning, the mayor held a meeting to introduce the local urban management and health and medical emergency systems, and hoped to establish more connections with Haikou City. The mayor specifically mentioned that Haikou, like Scottsdale, is a place suitable for the development of golf. On the evening of July 14th, the Mayor of Scottsdale held a cocktail reception in the city hall to thank the delegation for their visit. A city introduction video of Haikou was played at the cocktail reception, allowing more friends to learn about the customs and customs of the sister city. The delegation left Scottsdale successfully on July 15.
