Welcome everyone to wear formal attire to attend the Sino-US Cultural Forum, National Day Reception and Mid-Autumn Festival Dance held on Sunday, September 18th. On September 11th, the Arizona Chinese Federation (Alberta Hualian) and the Confucius Institute at Arizona State University held the last preparatory joint meeting for the series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day at Chandler Public Library. The meeting was chaired by Dong Bin, vice president of the Hualian Association of Alberta. There were more than 20 people in charge who arranged and implemented the specific details of each activity one by one. According to the agenda of the meeting, Chairman Fei Jian first introduced to everyone the overall planning and latest progress of the series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone for their selfless dedication to the Chinese community activities, and wished the event a complete success. The person in charge of each activity project also reported the preparation work to the participants. This year's "Phoenix Night" event will still be held in the ASU MU Arizona Ballroom. The "Phoenix Night" series of celebrations to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day has been hosted for the fifth consecutive year since the establishment of the Alberta Hualian. This year's "Phoenix Night" large-scale celebration series is co-sponsored by the Chinese Federation of Alberta and the Confucius Institute at Arizona State University, and co-organized by the Greater Phoenix Chinese Overseas Chinese Association. At the same time, it joins hands with the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Arizona State University and other Chinese and overseas Chinese groups in Alberta to celebrate the National Day of the People's Republic of China and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival. The organizers are all volunteers who work during the day and squeeze out their personal breaks in the evenings and weekends to participate in the preparations for the celebrations. In the list of donations, you can see: there are respectable old overseas Chinese, energetic new overseas Chinese, AVNET, a large enterprise ranked among the world's top 500, and the ASU Confucius Institute, which greatly supports community activities. Throughout the preparation and fundraising process, we received active participation and strong support from volunteers from various social groups and Chinese groups. Everyone’s only wish is to work hard to successfully organize this series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, and provide a satisfactory answer to the community and overseas Chinese! Thank you all for your participation and support! Everyone is welcome to wear formal attire and attend the Sino-US Cultural Forum (3:00-5:00), National Day Reception (5:00-7:00) and Mid-Autumn Festival Dance (7:00-9:00) on Sunday, September 18th.
