Overseas Chinese leaders in Alberta witness the creation of 100 Harley-Davidson motorcycles making history (Photo) (Alberta Times) More than 120 Harley-Davidson motorcycles are ready to go out to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of China in Southern California On September 24, the 100th anniversary of the Republic of China, the Taiwanese Association of Los Angeles and the Southwestern United States Preparatory Committee for the 100th Celebration of the Founding of the Republic of China jointly organized a 100-bike Centenary Celebration Event. On that day, more than 120 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, with the full participation of Ren Hong, vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Council, detoured through many cities in Southern California. Many overseas Chinese leaders from Phoenix, Arizona attended the Harley flag-protecting event. Wang Wei (Wang Ting), member of the Standing Committee of the Arizona Provincial Branch of the Chinese Kuomintang, led many members to arrive in Los Angeles. They hung the national flag on their cars and rode with the Harley fleet to participate in this historic event. Accompanied by the roar of the Harley-Davidson engine, the convoy received applause from many people along the way. Seeing the flag of the Republic of China flying overseas, showing the country's majesty, this group of patriotic overseas Chinese leaders in Arizona were very excited. In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China, the organizer specially designed a Harley-Davidson commemorative shirt for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China this year, with a large national flag, the logo of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China and the four Chinese characters of the Republic of China, which are quite eye-catching. This large-scale event called for the participation of more than 120 Harley-Davidson heavy-duty motorcycles, and heavy metal music was played live, making this event to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the People's Republic of China particularly cool. Many knights arrived at the assembly site early and hung the national flag on the back of their cars early. Some knights used the national flag as a cloak, showing the free nature of Harley riders and using various imaginable ways to express their support for the Republic of China today. Including Ren Hong, vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Republic of China, Jian Xubang, director of the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center, and Qiu Changsheng, deputy director, also arrived at the venue in advance to encourage the knights. Wang Wei (Wang Ting), member of the Standing Committee of the sub-provincial branch of the Chinese Kuomintang, led all members and Vice Chairman Ren Hong (fourth from right) to take a group photo in front of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle commemorating the centenary of the founding of the People's Republic of China This Harley-Davidson commemorative motorcycle, which features the national flag of the Republic of China and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, was designed by overseas Chinese businessman Cao Zhizhong. The design of the entire motorcycle is one-piece. Whether it is the national emblem or the symbol of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the craftsmanship is amazing. It was unanimously praised by Vice Chairman Ren Hong and the people present. The Vice Chairman also specially took a group photo in front of the Centennial Commemorative Car with this group of overseas Chinese leaders from Alberta who came from afar to support the Centennial Celebration. In his speech in Chinese and English, Vice Chairman Ren Hong expressed his gratitude to the ardent and patriotic overseas Chinese present and to the knights of all ethnic groups who supported the Republic of China. After the official announcement of the appointment of the Vice Chairman, more than a hundred Harley-Davidsons started their engines and rumbled majesticly. Wu Chengyuan, president of the Taiwanese Association of Los Angeles, said that in order to ensure the safety of riders, multiple leading vehicles are hired for traffic control and security tasks. This is also the second year that the Taiwanese Association of Los Angeles has held a flag protection event. Many roads in the United States are wide, especially Southern California’s pleasant climate. In terms of objective conditions, It can be said that we are uniquely blessed to host this event. Watching Harley-Davidson motorcycles of various models galloping with the national flag of the Republic of China, and the Vice Chairman waving the national flag from time to time. Although the convoy of more than 120 Harley-Davidson vehicles stretches for a long time, they march in an orderly and consistent manner and abide by discipline, which fully demonstrates the Harley spirit. At the same time, I am also very grateful to the overseas Chinese leaders in Arizona for participating in this grand event and providing protection behind the Harley motorcycle team throughout the entire process. After traveling through more than a dozen cities and a distance of more than 40 miles, when they arrived at the terminal station of the Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center in Los Angeles, they were warmly welcomed by overseas Chinese with national flags waving on site, including Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles Gong Zhongcheng, Director of the Overseas Chinese Center in Los Angeles Jian Xubang, Deputy Director Qiu Changsheng, President of the National Taiwan Federation Zheng Changxiang, Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee members Li Bingxin, Gao Qizheng, etc. were all on site to greet them. All Harley motorcycles crowded the parking lot of the Overseas Chinese Center in Los Angeles, and it was very lively. The knights collectively shouted the slogans "Long Live the Republic of China" and "Come on Taiwan!" and met again next year.
