The Kaiping Association of Alberta held a board meeting at Duofu Restaurant in Phoenix City to summarize the previous work, form a standing committee, clarify the division of labor, and promote conference affairs. Thirty directors attended this meeting, which was chaired by Vice President Guan Zhaofeng. First, summarize the work of the association in the five months since its establishment and affirm its achievements. The holding of two large-scale events, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, fully reflected the villagers' willingness to unite and cooperate, help each other, work together in the same boat, and organize activities for the benefit of the public. The event was a success, won the hearts of the people, and effectively enhanced the prestige of the association. The directors have greatly increased their confidence and are determined to identify existing problems and overcome shortcomings in the face of achievements, so as to move forward the conference work. At the meeting, the directors discussed the next step plan; a big party will be organized during the New Year (Spring Festival), during which preparations will be made to award scholarships to the children of Kaiping. In March and April next year, we will organize the first visit to our hometown to facilitate the villagers to worship their ancestors during the Qingming Festival, etc. These are all expected and loved by the villagers, and many directors expressed at the meeting that they would enthusiastically participate. The Kaiping Association was established in early April this year, and the board of directors was established accordingly. From responding to the tasks faced, to initially dividing the work and responsibilities, everyone worked hard to do a good job in the affairs of the association. Many directors showed enthusiasm and ability in the activities. At this meeting, based on the actual work of the directors and on the basis of the first council, a standing council was formed and the division of labor was adjusted as follows:
