With the active advocacy of people from all walks of life and the strong sponsorship of New Oriental Art School, the U.S.-China Culture and Art Association will regularly, systematically and extensively hold lectures and introductions on U.S.-China culture and art. These include introductions, exercises and discussions in different fields such as painting, calligraphy, music, dance, literature, language, history, food, as well as traditional health care and local customs. What will be held in the near future is a series of lectures on "A Brief Introduction to Chinese Painting and Learning" and "A Brief Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy" jointly held by the famous Chinese painting painter Mr. Li Cheng and the famous Chinese calligrapher Dr. Chen Pu. Mr. Li Cheng's "Pegasus" picture was shortlisted for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Dr. Chen Pu's calligraphy works have also won many awards in the Chinese Calligraphy Competition and the Fujian Provincial Calligraphy Competition. We warmly welcome all people and friends from all walks of life who are interested in Chinese painting and Chinese calligraphy to attend this lecture, and sincerely hope that everyone can provide valuable opinions and suggestions on the cultural and artistic exchange activities between the United States and China. We hope that the series of cultural and artistic exchange activities between the United States and China will become a platform for experts, scholars and enthusiasts to exchange and learn.
