(Contributed by the U.S.-China Cultural, Art and Cultural Exchange Association) On November 3rd and 4th, Mr. Li Cheng (Fan Rong), the "Sweat-blooded Pegasus" painter of the U.S.-China Cultural, Art and Cultural Exchange Association, was invited to hold a two-day lecture on Chinese painting at Chandler Mailton High School. During the two days, more than 150 students and some teachers participated in the lectures. They studied very seriously the basic knowledge of Chinese painting and the differences between Chinese painting and Western painting, as well as the mutual exchanges and influences. Then everyone was very interested and carefully learned how to paint "Cherry Red", "Shrimp Fun", "Fish Every Year", "Christmas Bonus" and other works under the guidance of the artist and the help of Teacher Lu.

Taking group photos with classmates

Many students were very happy and had a sense of accomplishment. This was a happy and successful event to promote Chinese culture. It was warmly welcomed by classmates and teachers. The principal also wrote a special letter to express his gratitude! This is a good start for a very meaningful event to cultivate and strengthen cultural exchanges and friendship between the United States and China among the younger generation.
