Calligraphy and painting exhibition by Chinese performing artists with photogenic style (Photography and reporting by Zhen Songwei, reporter of The Alberta Times in Los Angeles) Famous Chinese performing artists Jiang Kun, Tang Guoqiang, Zhang Tielin, Yu Junjian, etc., were invited by the United Nations Calligraphy and Painting Association and selected by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles to hold the "Guofeng Chinese Performing Artists Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on February 2. The artists visiting the United States this time are all well-known superstars in China. They are not only good at virtue and art, and have made world-renowned achievements in the entertainment industry, but they are also well-known calligraphers and painters with profound knowledge and superb skills. This calligraphy and painting exhibition held at the United Nations and Los Angeles can be regarded as a grand event for the Chinese art world's foreign exchanges. A group of Chinese artists arrived in Los Angeles on the 3rd. In order to see the famous Chinese performing artists, overseas Chinese in the Los Angeles area gathered together on the evening of the 3rd to spend the Spring Festival with the artists who came to Los Angeles to hold a calligraphy and painting exhibition. The welcome dinner was held at the Yuzhen Building in Los Angeles. The dinner was attended by Che Zhaohe, cultural counselor of the Chinese Consulate General, Le Liwen, the press consul, Antonovich, the Los Angeles County Supervisor, his wife Hu Huiling, celebrities and dignitaries, and nearly 300 overseas Chinese leaders. At the dinner, Jiang Kun performed a wonderful cross talk segment, Tang Guoqiang recreated the scene of Zhuge Liang's appearance in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Zhang Tielin and Bian Xiaozhen performed a modern Peking opera "Shajiabang", and Yu Junjian sang a Chinese folk song, which won bursts of applause from the overseas Chinese at the scene. The artists also improvised on the spot and gave them to the audience for the lottery. Jiang Kun said in an interview with the media that the older generation of artists are basically proficient in all kinds of music, chess, calligraphy and painting. It can be seen that art hobbies can communicate people's emotions, stimulate people's cultural interests, and even inspire artistic creation. Zhang Tielin, who once studied in the UK, said that cultural inheritance is a process and a responsibility of cultural workers. Although I have played the role of emperor many times, I am still a "little soldier" in calligraphy and painting. It is understood that in addition to Jiang Kun, Tang Guoqiang, Zhang Tielin, and Yu Junjian who visited the United States to participate in the calligraphy and painting exhibition, there are also famous calligraphers and painters Qin Zhigang and Xu Peidong, vice presidents of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Each of them exhibited 15 calligraphy and painting works created over the years. These famous Chinese performing artists not only have outstanding achievements in the field of performing arts, but also have profound attainments in calligraphy and painting.
