> A brief history of the "Philippine Chinese Welfare Association": In 1957, the US Immigration Service suddenly launched a strict investigation of "fake papers" used by Chinese people to enter the United States, which caused people to be in panic all day long. The situation caused Chinese people across the United States to immediately unite and establish the "Chinese Welfare Federation", a national organization, to protect the rights and interests of Chinese people across the United States. Therefore, the Finnish Chinese responded accordingly and immediately established a "Welfare Branch". The members of the branch are mainly composed of four overseas Chinese groups including Deng, Yu, Huang and Longgang Office, and the staff are elected by all departments. In the following decades, the Phini Welfare Branch served the overseas Chinese and ran smoothly. Later, due to changes in time, the National Welfare Federation eventually came to a standstill and was cancelled. However, the Phoenix Chinese Welfare Branch persisted and joined forces with the Las Vegas branch, the New Mexico branch, and the Zusun branch to establish the "American Southwest Welfare Branch" to continue to serve overseas Chinese. In 1968, the Chinese in Phoenix City established the "Fei Ni Overseas Chinese Federation" (Overseas Chinese Federation), of which the Chinese Welfare Association was one of the founding members and continues to this day.
