On April 1st, the Feinihuang Clan Association held a spring banquet. This day was a great day for all the Feinihuang Clan members. It is a big day worthy of excitement, because that day we welcomed the president and his wife Huang Zhigang, vice presidents Huang Huicong and his wife, and vice president Huang Lihui of the National Huang Clan Association; Huang Rongda, vice chairman of the National Huang Clan Association, and the All-American Veterans Association Chairman Huang Jingbin and his wife, Huang Yaozheng and his wife, the veterans of the National Huang Family, Huang Banglin, the veteran of the National Huang Family, Huang Baijian, the consultant of the National Huang Family, Huang Huixi, the consultant of the Huang Family Association, Huang Yuhao, the consultant of the Huang Family Association, Huang Yuhao, the consultant of the National Huang Family Mr. and Mrs. Huang Chuwen, the Chinese secretary of the Huang Clan Association, and Mr. and Mrs. Huang Yuetian, the Chinese secretary of the Wolun Huang Clan Association; as well as the heads and clan members of the Huang Clan Association, Wolun, Luo Province, and Boston Huang Clan Association, a total of more than 20 people. There was another important person that day: Gao Jiafu, director of the Orange County Cultural Center of the Republic of China in Los Angeles, who came all the way from Los Angeles to attend the spring banquet of the Huang Clan Association. The presence of the above guests added great splendor to the Feini Huang Clan Spring Banquet and caused a sensation in the overseas Chinese community in Phoenix. Huang was the first person to have so many guests from other places attend the spring banquet held by the local overseas Chinese group. At noon that day, Director Gao Jiafu had just gotten off the plane and was already in the dust. He and the president, elders, advisors and clan members from other places came to the Huang Clan Association on 16th Street to hold an ancestor worship event. The highlight of the ancestor worship activity were three large golden pigs, which were sponsored by Yin Yanhuan, consultant of the Republic of China; Wang Wei and Wang Ting, members of the Standing Committee of the Arizona Branch of the Kuomintang and overseas Chinese affairs adviser of the Republic of China; and the four presidents of the National Huang Clan Association (Huang Zhigang, Huang Xianyang, Huang Huicong, Huang Lihui). At 7 o'clock in the evening, a dinner was held at Huangxiong Restaurant. Leaders of the overseas Chinese community and people from all walks of life attended the dinner. The party was very lively. The party was hosted by Huang Dingbang's sister-in-law. First, Huang Zhenjie, chairman of the Fei Ni Huang Clan Association, gave a welcome speech. He said that this year is a very important year for the Huang Clan Association, because the National Huang Clan Appeal Conference will be held in Phoenix in late August. The task of reception is quite arduous, but the Fei Ni Huang Clan Association will definitely unite and work hard to host the conference. Next, Director Gao Jiafu delivered a speech. He said that he was very happy to come to Phoenix to participate in the Spring Banquet of the Huang Clan Association, and wished everyone good health and good fortune in the Year of the Dragon. President Huang Zhigang and Chairman of the All-US Veterans League Huang Jingbin delivered speeches one after another. They both said that every year they come to Phoenix for the Spring Banquet, they have to give speeches and say that they have exhausted their talents. . . . . Their humorous remarks made the atmosphere of the party more relaxed and cheerful. Mr. Huang Dingjiang of the American Association introduced the guests and the staff of the association. During the dinner, all the staff toasted to the guests and wished them a happy New Year. Two outstanding students received scholarships. Among them, Huang Zhenyu is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Huang Yunwen, the consultant of the Huang Clan Association in Feini, and the other student is Huang Shanhe, the son of Huang Xiongxiang, a member of the Huang Clan Association. The party ended in a joyful atmosphere. Everyone shook hands and said goodbye, hoping to meet again next year.
