Phoenix City Government International Sisters held a Phoenix City Government International Sisters' Oath-taking Ceremony for Youth Ambassadors at 6:30 pm on May 29th in the conference hall on the first floor of the Phoenix City Government. After being selected, 21 outstanding high school youths successfully completed training and graduation, and were sworn in to become youth ambassadors representing the City of Phoenix in the United States. They will go to the nine international sister cities of Phoenix International Sisters including Calgary, Canada; Catania, Italy; Chengdu, China; Ennis, Ireland; Grenoble, France; Hermosillo, Mexico; Himeji, Japan; Ramat-Gan, Israel, and Taipei, Taiwan will conduct a half-month goodwill visit and conduct educational and cultural exchanges between sister cities. Michael Johnson, Vice Mayor of the Phoenix City Government, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the Youth Ambassadors. He expressed special thanks to the parents for their support, as well as the dedication and hard work of the nine sister city chairmen and volunteers of the Phoenix City Sisters Association, which made the Youth Ambassador Program of the Phoenix City Sisters Association a complete success. The Youth Ambassador Program of the International Sisters of the Phoenix City Government is an award-winning event, valued and recognized by the Phoenix City Government. The purpose of the Youth Ambassador Program is to cultivate young leadership talents and promote cooperation and cultural exchanges between sister cities.
