Last Sunday evening, the Chinese Chorus of Alberta held its first meeting of its officers since its establishment during the Spring Festival in 2011 at the Blue Sky Restaurant. In addition to the founder Ms. Gu Yayu, the members attending the meeting included Mr. Chen Zhigang, Mr. Li Jinghui, Ms. Li Ruifang, Ms. Wen Linglin, Mr. Mak Yaoqi, Sun Xiaojin, Ms. Chen Zilan, Li Hongxin, Ms. Zhuang Shuhua, Mr. Huang Yicheng, Ms. Yu Yongyu, Ms. Tang Liping and Mr. Huang Guoxi, a total of fourteen people. Ms. Wei Yanshi was absent for some reason. During the dinner, everyone not only reviewed the experience and achievements of the choir over the past year since its establishment, but also emphasized again the purpose and purpose of the choir's establishment, which is to popularize choral music, enrich the cultural and entertainment life of the Chinese, and improve the artistic accomplishment of the Chinese. This meeting specifically clarified the responsibilities and work of each officer. The group leader is Ms. Gu Yayu, Mr. Chen Zhigang is the deputy group leader, Ms. Yu Yongyu is responsible for the English secretary of the Cantonese group, Mr. Huang Guoxi is responsible for the Chinese secretary of the Cantonese group, Mr. Li Jinghui is responsible for the Chinese and English secretary and music services of the Mandarin group, Ms. Zhuang Shuhua and Ms. Li Ruifang are responsible for the finance, Ms. Sun Xiaojin is responsible for the data files, and Mr. Mak Yiu Kei and Mr. Li Hongxin are responsible for the social liaison. Ms. Wen Linglin and Chen Zilan are responsible for the reception of new members, and Ms. Tang Liping and Li Ruifang are responsible for the clothing management. The vocal group leaders are Ms. Wei Jianshi, Ms. Mai Daiqi, Mr. Li Jinghui and Chen Zhigang.
