At 10:00 am on September 15th, a symposium to commemorate September 18th and the victory of the Anti-Japanese War was held at the Phoenix Chinese Elders Association. The symposium invited Mr. Chen Huaiyu, a Ph.D. from Princeton University, researcher in the Department of History, and assistant professor at Arizona State University, to give a lecture titled "The Sino-Japanese Conflict from an International Perspective and the Cultural Struggle during the Anti-Japanese War." Many friends will review the heroic deeds of the Chinese people during the Anti-Japanese War, when they shared the same hatred against the Japanese invaders and the historical facts of local overseas Chinese supporting and participating in the anti-Japanese war. The elders of the Chinese Senior Citizens Association will sing with excitement the songs composed by Nie Er and Xi Xinghai during the Anti-Japanese War, bringing people back to that suffering and passionate era. This will be a vivid history lesson and a rare opportunity. This symposium is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. Sponsored by some sponsors, a simple lunch will be served at the end of the symposium.
