Cities in the sister states of Arizona held a grand symposium and exchange meeting on October 19th and 20th. The Phoenix International Sisters Association was responsible for hosting and hosting. Cities from Arizona and all over the United States participated. The event was a complete success. The purpose of holding a symposium and exchange meeting between sister cities in Arizona's sister states is to introduce and promote the cultural, educational, artistic, and economic and trade activities of each city, enhance the friendship between the cities, exchange experiences with each other, and share the results of the activities with learning. On October 19th, from 6 to 8 pm, the Phoenix City Sisters prepared a welcome reception with wine, food and opera performances to warmly entertain representatives from cities in Arizona sister states and cities in the United States. The Vice Mayor of Phoenix, Mike Johnson, presided over the reception and welcome ceremony. At the reception, famous paintings, boutiques and gift boxes donated by various cities were sold for charity to raise funds for the sister cities in Arizona sister states. A symposium and exchange meeting will be held from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on October 20th, with brunch provided. The opening of the symposium was hosted by Phoenix Vice Mayor Mike Johnson. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton also came to give a welcome speech. Mayor Stanton attached great importance to the activities of Phoenix's sister cities to make Phoenix richer and more diverse. Mayor Stanton said that he would fully support the exchange activities between Arizona sister cities and international sister cities, while opening up high-tech and economic and trade opportunities to strengthen the Phoenix economy. At the meeting, there were introductions, reports, and activity sharing from cities in Arizona's sister states. Ms. Alexandria, a professional fundraising expert for non-profit organizations, was invited from Tucson to give a special speech on the "Basics of Fundraising." And the sister presidents from Texas and the president of the International Sister Cities in Washington were invited to share the concepts and many outstanding achievements of running sister cities. The cities in Arizona's sister states include: Phoenix, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Tempe, Tucson, Scottsdale, Sierra Vista, Prescott and other cities take turns hosting the Arizona Sister State Symposium every year. Phoenix Taipei Sister City Chairman Li Linglin and Qiu Wenqi, who represented Taiwan's Taipei City in the Arizona Sister State Cities Symposium, said that being able to communicate with cities and exchange experiences is a good way to learn and increase the interaction between cities. With everyone's mutual complementation and mutual cooperation, the Arizona Sister State can move toward more diversity, progress, and success. At the same time, it can assist and promote friendly relations among international sister cities, establish international friendship, and promote multicultural exchanges.
