The competition was fierce and the trophy changed hands - Record of the second activity of the New Oriental Summer Speech Club The free New Oriental Summer Speech Club hosted by the same principal, the first...
The second session of the free New Oriental Summer Speech Club hosted by Principal Tong was held on the morning of Saturday, June 14th. More than thirty children aged four to fifteen attended the event. The theme of this speech is "Show and Tell". The children came to the scene with all kinds of things they liked and shared their stories with everyone. Abacus, flute, turtle, flowers, seashells, clocks, key chains and books, etc., are all subjects of children's speeches. The children's performance this time was significantly better than last week. Many of them were carefully prepared, and their speech content and skills have improved.
The three age groups selected their respective winners. Amanda Wong received the highest number of votes. She brought a pet turtle to everyone, and vividly described the turtle's origin, characteristics, and living habits. Her speech, with vivid language and rich content, won everyone's love. Tammy Tang showed and introduced to everyone the two pots of flowers and plants she planted. Although her performance is somewhat childish and nervous, her delivery is clear and organized. The story of the two pots of flowers and plants was vivid and interesting, which greatly aroused everyone's interest. Savannah Yu brought several small animals that she made with ropes and beads. She showed good communication and interaction skills on the court, making her easily remembered. There was also a little boy who talked about abacus. Although he did not win, he performed a quick calculation skill on the spot, which was deeply remembered by everyone.
The winning contestants of the Speech Club will participate in the selection of the host of the first Golden Autumn Dance Art Festival. The third event will be held from 10:30 to 12:30 in the morning on June 21. Parents are welcome to bring their children to continue to participate.
