The Second World Overseas Chinese Art Calligraphy Exhibition opened in Beijing on the 16th of this month. The organizing committee of this exhibition received nearly 4,000 works from 2,000 artists from 42 countries and regions. Because they (painters) have lived overseas for a long time, they have absorbed some characteristics of local culture, but they have made efforts and attempts in Chinese culture and world culture. As messengers of communication between the Chinese dream and the world dream, overseas Chinese have begun to realize it in art." At the opening ceremony, the organizers also issued certificates of honor to the winning artists and outstanding organizational units.
