Mr. Lu Baohua, a Chinese writer living in the United States, once again returned to Phoenix from Beijing to visit relatives. He recently met with old friends from the local cultural and art circles to reminisce about the past and brought news about the establishment of the "Museum of Overseas Chinese History" from his native country.

Mr. Lu is an old Beijinger who has worked for the Ministry of Culture of China for a long time and is engaged in the search for and inheritance of Chinese culture. Mr. Lu has a special affinity with Phoenix. After he first came to Phoenix in 2000, he often contributed articles to Chinese newspapers to promote Chinese culture, especially the folk customs and history of the capital, as well as the series of ancient and modern oil lamps, which he introduced in detail to the overseas Chinese and cultural circles in Alberta, bringing new knowledge and perspectives to everyone. Mr. Lu is also very concerned about the local overseas Chinese community and the history of Chinese struggle. He has visited Yu Fengcaitang, Huang Clan Association and Longgang Office, and wrote a preface to the history book of the overseas Chinese community "Pearl of the Desert". He is a well-known Chinese scholar familiar and praised by the overseas Chinese community in Phoenix City.

On January 4, Mr. Lu Baohua invited many friends from the local cultural and art circles to a gathering at the Blue Sky Restaurant, including Yu Wenjin, a senior overseas Chinese leader, Professor and his wife Ding Yunyan, a famous scholar and photography master in Beijing, and his wife from the province of Alberta Huang Yifan, founder of the Asian Photography Association, Zheng Hong, president of the Film Association, Zhang Zhaohong, author of "Pearl of the Desert", etc. Mr. Lu was very grateful to Mr. Yu Wenjin for coming. He was deeply honored to have such a senior overseas Chinese leader in the overseas Chinese community in Alberta who can write and so strongly supports the inheritance of Chinese culture. Mr. Lu also discussed the art and trends of photography with Professor Ding Yunyan and colleagues from the Photography Association. He specifically mentioned the construction of the Overseas Chinese History Museum in China. He hoped that the history of the struggle of the Chinese in Phoenix would have a place in the Museum of Overseas Chinese in China. He said that through the joint efforts of the overseas Chinese in Phoenix and himself, the history of the struggle of the local overseas Chinese should be spread domestically and internationally, and passed on to future generations. Zhang Zhaohong presented the book "Pearl of the Desert" to Mr. Lu Baohua and Professor Ding Yunyan, as well as the manuscript of the "Tombstone Mystery" article about discovering the earliest Chinese tombstones and writings in Alberta.

The proprietor of Blue Sky Restaurant has prepared a variety of snacks and delicacies for the tea party. I would like to express my deepest gratitude!
