The organizer's executive director LLOYD Y.ASATO introduced the "Beauty of Asia Pacific" fundraising dinner on May 9 this year, which will honor "Lin Sue Cooney," Leezie Kim, Evelyn Casuga, Macbeth Torno” four outstanding Asian women. Lin Sue Cooney is a television anchor with 28 years of experience. She hosts Channel 12's 5pm and 10pm shows. She has extensive hosting experience and has won numerous awards in the industry. LinSue Cooney is not only an excellent media person, but also an enthusiastic participant in community work. Leezie Kim, Vice President of Fox Restaurants, was nominated by the National Restaurant Organization. Leezie Kim is a capable Korean woman. No one would have thought that this restaurant vice president was once an excellent lawyer and helped many clients successfully complete a large number of transactions. Evelyn Casuga just retired as general manager of the Arizona Department of Human Services Community Affairs. She has worked at APS for 10 years. She is also an accomplished economic developer and was named Economic Developer of the Year by the Arizona Economic Development Association. Macbeth Torno is a registered nurse at Mayo Medical Center who has been involved in the Arizona community since 1983. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing in the Philippines. Because of her outstanding contributions in the Philippines and the United States, she has received many awards, such as "Outstanding Chapter President" and "Community Nurse of the Year". These four outstanding Asian women will be honored at this year’s fundraising dinner. According to the Chinese founder of the Asia-Pacific Community Promotion Association, Ms. Xu Kailai, this year’s fundraising dinner is also a special day for the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Asia-Pacific Community Promotion Association. She hopes that more friends can participate in activities that focus on Asian health. She introduced that the host of this year’s fundraising dinner is also a heavyweight. She is the current CEO of the Arizona Women’s Association, Sara Presler, JD. She served two terms as mayor of Flagstaff.
