In October 2015, a newly established non-profit organization in the Phoenix area, C3C (full name: Center for Culture, Cultivation, and Commerce) is such an organization that came into being. The purpose of C3C is to help us Chinese (including students and adults) improve social skills, teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Within one and a half months from October 11, our C3C organization has successfully held a series of 3 lectures for more than 100 Chinese students. For example, in the first lecture on social skills, older children learned how to respect others and resolve conflicts on their own. Young children learn table manners and learn to greet others proactively. In the second teamwork lecture, all participating children realized that each team member plays an important role in the team through the unique lecture method of playing football outdoors, and the children made many new friends. In the third session of communication skills, they learned effective ways to express themselves clearly and slowly. The texts, pictures, and videos about the first three lectures (Social Skills, Teamwork, and Communication) have been compiled into online articles. It is currently widely circulated in the Chinese community in North America. Within one and a half months, the total number of views exceeded 13,000. We received a lot of feedback from netizens. One parent wrote: "The social skills training you provide is great. When can you come to us to join the class?" We are very envious of parents living in Phoenix for having such a good social skills training opportunity. I hope you can come to Tucson to give lectures one day. Our Chinese school held an etiquette class a few years ago and asked an American teacher to teach it. At that time, I went to find a teacher and the price was very expensive. After just reading the lecture slides we provide to everyone for free on the Internet, a netizen responded like this: This Social Skill (social skills lecture) is too practical. I specially took an etiquette (etiquette) class for my children and found that the content of this lecture was covered. The class cost me 800 silver for two children. Communication skills lecture (youth group)

On December 6, C3C once again organized the fourth "Leadership" lecture for Chinese American students for free at the Chandler downtown library (22 S. Delaware St. Chandler AZ 85225). If your child is between 7 and 17 years old, don’t miss this public lecture given by two teachers with more than 20 years of experience. The lectures for students aged 12-17 are from 2:00-3:00pm, while the lectures for students aged 7-11 are from 3:30-4:30pm. If the child misses the first three lectures, it will not affect the lecture on December 6. In addition, in order to further train the leadership of Chinese students, we plan to hold the C3C Student Union Chair and Co-Chair election on December 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Our purpose is to let our children organize and coordinate some public welfare activities that interest them, similar to some of the activities of the Boy Scouts. On the same day, December 13, students who are not participating in the campaign can also participate in a speaking event of their own choice.

According to current feedback, many children's behavior has changed significantly after attending the lecture. They become more confident. Parents and students are welcome to take advantage of the lectures organized by C3C and let us all exercise and grow together. We will continue to hold these particularly popular lectures for Chinese students next year. We hope that our lectures will be even better next year. In addition, we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to the C3C volunteers for their hard work and the parents for their strong support!
