The Empire State Building in New York, USA, will be lit up on the evening of May 20 (daytime on the 21st, Beijing time) for the 120th anniversary of Zhejiang University. The lamp body is Zhejiang University blue to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Zhejiang University. This may be the first time in history that the Empire State Building has been lit up for the celebration of a domestic university in China. Alumni of Zhejiang University in Arizona also took this opportunity to gather together to celebrate the 120th anniversary of their alma mater and the official establishment of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association in Arizona.
The first event of the Alumni Association was held at Jogoya Sushi Seafood Buffet on May 13, 2017, with the enthusiasm of senior Wang Weizi. A total of 26 alumni participated, ranging from old alumni of the 79th grade to new dads of the 05th grade, spanning nearly thirty years. Although we all come from different grades and majors, we get to know each other when we meet, because we share a beautiful alma mater - Zhejiang University, beside the West Lake, paradise on earth. From being the favorites in the cafeteria back then to being working children today, we have all kinds of intersections and many similarities. Three hours of laughter and laughter have passed by unknowingly. Everyone feels that there is still more to come and we will meet again!
The establishment of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association in Arizona, although it is inspired by the anniversary of the alma mater, is also the common aspiration of Zhejiang University people in Arizona.
