30 pounds of cocaine seized at Southern Border Federal authorities arrested a Mexican man entering through Customs in St. Louis, in the southern part of the state, on Tuesday, suspected of carrying more than 30 pounds of cocaine. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said 52-year-old Nestor Martinez Noriega was trying to drive his truck through customs in St. Louis when a drug-sniffing dog discovered he was hiding the drugs. The drugs were seized and the vehicle was impounded, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said. The cocaine was estimated to be worth $275,000. The person involved has been turned over to Customs and Border Protection’s Homeland Security Division for investigation.
