26 hearings were held for redistricting Arizona's Redistricting Commission will hold 26 hearings across the state to gather public input on redistricting for the state's congressional and state legislative elections. The first hearing was held at Phoenix College on Tuesday, followed by Payson, Flagstaff and other cities. The final hearing will be held on November 5 in Green Valley. Earlier this month, the committee voted 3-1 to approve nine congressional districts, involving five solidly Republican and two solidly Democratic districts. The governor and other Republican officials criticized the draft as unfair and only benefiting Democrats. Democrats said Brewer deliberately suppressed the committee.
