>The 2015 Arizona Spring Festival Gala was grandly held at the Mesa Art Center with unprecedented grandeur! Chinese and American friends who participated in the Spring Festival Gala said that they really did not expect that in just three months, community elites could be united on such a large scale, Chinese and American businessmen were recruited, and jointly presented such a grand cultural feast to the Chinese American community. At 10 a.m. on February 21, the party's chief director Liu Luohong, stage director Feng Xiaoxin and others came to the theater and began to adjust the pre-arranged lighting and sound. The highlight of this evening was the metering under the stage, which extended the stage into the audience area. Because the lighting staff was not in place for a long time, and it took several twists and turns to reassemble the light stand before achieving the effect expected by the director, the lighting installation delayed the rehearsal for a long time.

The show officially started rehearsals at nearly 3 o'clock. The opening dance is the highlight of the party. There are many people and the stage changes are complicated. Teacher Tang Ke from the Arizona School of the Arts, who is in charge of the opening dance, has to adjust the positions of the actors while coordinating with other program personnel in a very short time. Although the dancers have already practiced very well, Teacher Tang Ke still hopes to achieve perfection. Time is tight, and most shows can only change the main formation before they have to step off the stage, and all the actors can only walk off the stage in a hurry.

During the program rotation, I always saw two figures lying on the stage floor. After a closer look, I realized that they were Teachers Qiu Xiaorong and Chen Weiping from the Arizona School of the Arts, who usually teach dance, were afraid that the young actors could not see clearly their positions, so each of them took a colored strip of tape and pasted it on the stage. They also kept telling the young actors, remember, you are a pink strip, you are a green strip, you are. . . . . .

Teachers Chen Weiping and Qiu Xiaorong were busy putting up signs on the stage. 5,4,3,2,1 starts! The chief director gave an order and the opening music started at 7:17. The audience saw a highly interactive opening on and off stage. Gorgeous lights, beautiful dances, familiar songs, the whole audience was ignited with enthusiasm. The actors backstage were very orderly, shuttling and waiting. The second program "Little Hongyan" is a program composed of more than a dozen children. Liu Ou, the teacher in charge of the show, wears many hats in this performance. She is not only the lead dancer of "Water Girl", but also participates in performances of several other shows and is also responsible for choreographing the dance. Like her, Feng Xiaoxin, the drama director who works from early morning to last, also wears multiple hats. Wearing costumes and headphones, she gave instructions to various performance departments throughout the venue. The show had already started, but she hadn't put on makeup or put on her headdress yet. But the coordination up and down the stage cannot be separated from her for even a minute. There was no choice but Chen Si, the solo dancer, moved all her cosmetics and put on her makeup at the edge of the stage. Feng Xiaoxin painted her face, listened to her headphones, and issued various instructions while sitting still. The warm applause from the audience is the most effective baton in the minds of the staff. Although they cannot directly see the program, everyone can definitely feel the performance of each program. Just as the show was pushing the party to a climax one after another, I suddenly saw Wang Yulan, the backstage director, with a bandage on her waist, anxiously running upstairs and downstairs. 'What's wrong? ’ someone asked. ‘The next program is going to be a string quartet, but I’ve looked all over and can’t find these four kids! ’ Wang Yulan was so anxious that she was sweating profusely, “I’ve been looking for it several times downstairs and downstairs.” As she spoke, she continued walking and knocked on the doors of the dressing room backstage one by one. Two minutes passed, and there was still no news. Now everyone backstage was furious! Seeing that the program on stage will end in one minute, the host will go out to announce the curtain. The teachers and class mothers in the background started to move. At this moment, Wang Yulan's voice was heard coming from the stairs on the second floor: 'You four. . . . . ’ Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, at the last minute, she found these four young actors, and everything was saved.

The two backstage directors Wang Yulan (left) and Lu Lihua (right) finally sent the actors to the stage. The audience was still intoxicated by the melodious music of the four beautiful girls, and the backstage staff returned to normal order from the panic. A dozen actors of "When Flowers Bloom" were preparing to wait for the show. One of them was caught by the class mother Zhang Raoying, "Her hair is crooked, I want to help her fix it." Without any explanation, she immediately went to the aisle to fix the actor's headdress.

In this performance, I don’t know how many class mothers, actors, actors’ families, and volunteers who cannot be named. It is their selfless dedication behind the stage that allowed thousands of viewers to receive such a wonderful New Year gift in front of the stage. It is a gift that makes us Chinese proud and makes our American friends look up to us! "We are a family that loves each other..." With the song "Love each other", the 2015 Spring Festival Gala came to a successful conclusion. Lu Lihua, the chief planner of the 2015 Arizona Spring Festival Gala, would like to express her gratitude to all friends who participated in the 2015 Arizona Spring Festival Gala, even if all you gave was applause! Without your participation our Spring Festival Gala would not be so exciting!
