On April 18, 2015, the "Alberta's Top Ten Chinese News" Award Ceremony was grandly held at Hope Chinese School. Professor Wu Xu of Arizona State University, Ding Yunyan, a member of the Chinese Photographers Association and a member of the China Press Council, Steven Ding, director of Hollywood Chinese TV, Zhang Huafang, president of the Chinese Restaurant Association of Alberta, Zhang Shengyi, public relations committee member of the City of Chandler, Lu Lihua, president of the Art Institute of Alberta, Lai Jiayi, the head of Xinxin Supermarket, former president of the National Association of Chinese Schools, Shuai Zhiruo, president of Phoenix PEN, and editor-in-chief of the Asian American Newspaper Sun Jianping also came to the scene, and senior overseas Chinese leader Yin Yanhuan sent flowers to express his congratulations.
