(Western US time) On July 21, the Eastern Canada audition for the American Division of the 2014 Miss Chinese Universe Pageant concluded successfully in Toronto. Among the many beauties with equal emphasis on beauty and intelligence, after self-introduction, talent display, impromptu Q&A and other sessions, the top three in the Eastern Division were determined and entered the American Division finals.

The top three selected contestants are Liu Yuanzhe from York University and Han Xinyu and Du Yuge from the University of Toronto. Liu Yuanzhe, who was born in Shandong and grew up in Shanghai, is currently studying human resources management at York University. He has studied piano since he was a child. At the age of 10, he has received a Grade 10 certificate from the Central Conservatory of Music. He also participated in mathematics and physics competitions and won rankings while in middle school. Han Xinyu, who is studying at the University of Toronto, is a talented woman with high overall quality. She believes that beauty is a spirit that can stand the test of time. Du Yuge from Beijing will enter the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto to begin undergraduate studies in September this year. She has practiced violin, dance, figure skating and other talents since she was a child. She is a standard beauty who is good at playing music, chess, calligraphy and painting.
