The 2013 ASU Chinese Students and Scholars Association presidential election has finally come to an end. This time, the Chinese Student Union has made changes to the election system to ensure a more fair and equitable election result. Different from previous years, although voting in this election was limited to Chinese students at ASU, the total number of votes reached a record high: a total of 1,041 votes, of which 787 were valid votes. Candidate Liu Weizhe received a total of 544 votes. Candidate Ying Caixiang received a total of 243 votes. Liu Weizhe was elected president of the ASU Chinese Students and Scholars Association in the 2013-2014 academic year with a support rate of 69.12%.

Liu Weizhe

Graduated from Minzu University of China with a Bachelor of Laws and studied Master of Public Administration at ASU. Liu Weizhe has rich experience in directing, hosting, and planning. As one of the older members of the ASU Chinese Student Union, Liu Weizhe has made outstanding contributions to the ASU Chinese Student Union in the past few years, proving his excellent leadership skills and establishing a good personal image among the Chinese student community. As the most popular candidate for chairman in this election, Liu Weizhe aims to fully enhance the image of the ASU Chinese Student Union in the community and students, and truly leverage the capabilities and responsibilities of the Chinese Student Union to benefit ASU Chinese students and the Chinese community in Fengcheng.
