"Phoenix Chinese Bowling Club" was founded more than 50 years ago. At that time, there were very few Chinese in the city and there was a lack of recreational activities. The establishment of the bowling club allowed everyone to get together to play ball in their spare time, connect with each other and relieve work pressure. It was welcomed by overseas Chinese, and was also welcomed by many businesses and Chinese restaurants. With the support and sponsorship of the bowling alley, the bowling club has insisted on holding competition training every Monday night at a fixed bowling alley for decades. Players come from all walks of life, and most of them work in restaurants. Therefore, the Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association has long encouraged employees of members to participate in bowling in their spare time, which is both entertainment and physical fitness. It kills two birds with one stone. During the summer vacation from June to August, every Monday after 9 pm, the Chinese Bowling Association of Alberta will hold a training class at the bowling alley at 19 Ave Bethany Home Rd. There will be dedicated personnel to guide new students. Interested friends are welcome to participate. For details, please call Wu Yizhao: 623-341-5032.
