Chung Hwa Correspondence School has begun enrollment for the 2012 academic year. Chung Hwa Correspondence School has begun enrollment for the 2012 academic year. It will promote many changes and encourage online courses. In order to expand the depth and breadth of lifelong learning services provided by Chung Hwa Correspondence School, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Council has cooperated with National Chung Cheng University, which is famous for distance teaching, to promote correspondence school affairs since the 2012 academic year. With Chung Cheng University’s high-quality and diverse faculty and professional administrative team , develop new courses and handle school affairs, so that students of Chung Hwa Correspondence School can enjoy more real-time learning, more diverse information and more convenient services. In conjunction with the arrival of the 2012 school year, Chung Hwa Correspondence School is accepting registration from now on, and the deadline is March 15, 2012. In order to make school operations more efficient, Chung Hwa Correspondence School will promote a number of changes in the new school year. Among them, the study period for students will be adjusted from April to October, and the completion work will be completed by the end of December, so that enrollment, course taking, and graduation can be completed within one year. In addition, in view of the fact that digital learning has gradually become a trend in recent years, in order to encourage correspondence school students to take courses online, the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and other regions will pilot only online courses and will no longer provide correspondence lectures; other regions will maintain the current dual-track correspondence and online courses. At the same time, in the new school year, the functions of the "Chinese Correspondence School Distance Learning Website" will also be strengthened, and online synchronous and asynchronous learning community management will be added, so that students can share knowledge through Internet links. In terms of student management, for those who take correspondence courses, there will be an increase in the requirement that those who have not completed more than half (inclusive) of the courses in each of the past three years will not be admitted; regarding the number of courses, the original limit of 2 subjects and 4 types of courses, which was criticized by students, will be changed to no limit on subjects and a maximum of 4 types of courses, making course selection more flexible. In the 2012 school year, the correspondence school will continue to offer 9 subjects and 79 courses for students to choose from, including "Chinese Teachers' Course", "Chinese Applied Course", "Literature, History and Art", "Agricultural and Engineering Course", "Business and Management Course", "Family and Children's Course", "Catering Course", "Computer Information Course", and "Primary and Secondary School Continuing Education Course". You are welcome to seize this opportunity, inform your relatives and friends, and join the ranks of lifelong learning in the correspondence school. Overseas Chinese who are interested in choosing courses can go to the school's website (accessed from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission website (www.ocac.gov.tw) or the Global Chinese Language Network (www.huayuworld.org)) to read the admission brochure and course list, apply online directly or download the application form, or contact the Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center at 714-754-9999 to obtain the application form.
