Overseas Chinese Affairs Council Press Release In order to help overseas Chinese learn to make Western-style pastries and run related businesses, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Council launched the "2012 Western-style Pastry Making Class" from April 16 to 27, 2012. It was hosted by Taichung Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. This workshop was planned to win an award in an international competition. Numerous famous teachers from the industry and academia, such as Lai Xiaomei, Wen Shicheng, Chen Qinghai and Chen Fuyu, teach Western pastries such as Black Forest mousse cake, French macarons, chocolate brownie, tiramisu, fruit fresh cheese and healthy low-fat cheese cake. They also add pineapple and red bean and other Taiwanese Four Heavenly Kings breads to make. In addition, we will arrange visits to relevant well-known industries and share business experience. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Council will bear the tuition and fees for the study courses, including teaching materials, teachers, venues, and materials. Students will have to pay for their own transportation costs to and from their place of residence, as well as board and lodging expenses during the study period. Those who are interested in registering please contact Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center at 714-754-999, Ms. Xie, before March 21, 2012.
