(AACYF Los Angeles News) Sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Henan Province, and co-sponsored by the National Chinese Youth Federation Overseas, the 012 Overseas Chinese Youth Journey to China Roots Camp Henan Camp is now officially open for registration! Chinese-American youths aged 12-18 from all over the United States are welcome to sign up! The summer camp will hold an opening ceremony on July 14, which will last for two weeks, and a closing ceremony will be held in Zhengzhou on the evening of July 26. Henan Province is the birthplace of Central Plains culture, and "Shaolin Kung Fu" is a famous business card in Chinese martial arts. This year's summer camp in Henan will lead Chinese teenagers to visit the Shaolin Temple and invite Shaolin masters to explain Zen martial arts culture. While learning Chinese knowledge, campers will also have the opportunity to learn the basic skills of Shaolin Kung Fu, Shaolin Xiaohong Fist, etc., and experience the Chinese martial arts culture first-hand. While Henan Camp arranges campers to learn Chinese cultural knowledge such as paper-cutting, calligraphy, and Chinese, it will also lead campers in Zhengzhou, Anyang, Luoyang, Kaifeng and other places to visit the Longmen Grottoes, Zhongyue Songshan, Yuefei Temple, White Horse Temple, Kaifeng Iron Tower, Xiangguo Temple, Yinxu Museum, Songyang Academy and other prestigious historical and cultural attractions in the Central Plains. Activity expenses: The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council will be responsible for the food, accommodation, transportation, and study tour expenses during the summer camp (two weeks); other expenses such as international air tickets, visa fees, registration fees (an additional RMB 800 is required for the Henan camp), etc. shall be borne by the students themselves.

Registration time: Registration begins on March 25, 2012.
