May 13th is Mother’s Day. After the Mother’s Day Sunday service, a grand Chinese School 2012 graduation ceremony was held in the church lobby at 1:30 pm. The lobby, which can accommodate more than 500 people, was filled with students and parents from Chinese schools. The students were all excited and the parents were eagerly waiting for the graduation ceremony to begin. The graduation ceremony was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Liang Shaowei. When the host announced the commencement of the graduation ceremony, he first asked Pastor Yang of the church to pray for the ceremony, and Pastor Yang awarded "Excellent Achievement Awards" to twenty outstanding students. Then the innocent, cute, lively and enthusiastic students began to perform various entertainment programs. There are 29 classes in the Chinese school, and each class has carefully prepared entertainment programs. For example, the fifth class of Chinese-Simplified Chinese students performed a recitation of the "Three Character Classic" and sang a song "Where is the Spring?" The beautiful children's chorus "Where is the Spring?" is a beautiful song of nature that touches everyone's heart. The young students from the singing class performed a funny and beautiful song "Fireflies" for everyone. Children's dance "Jasmine"; students from the second formal class wrote their own drama "The North Wind and the Sun". They were able to choreograph such a profound drama, which is impressive. These children who are gifted by God will surely make great achievements in the field of literary creation and lead the way in the future! The children's poem "Let Praises Fly" performed by the students of Class 3 of Simplified Chinese and Simplified Chinese. The children of the preschool phonetic class performed "Frog" and "Color Song", which were even more fascinating, funny and cute; the piano performance composed by Liang Jiaen of Class 5 of Simplified Chinese and Simplified Chinese; and the recital of Tang poems performed by the students of Class 4 of Simplified Chinese and Simplified Chinese were great, and the ups and downs of ancient poems recited were very charming! Just like trickling spring water, crisp and sweet, like singing, one song after another makes people intoxicated; the youth dance class performed "Fengyang Flower Drum", the little girls held red silk and danced to the cheerful music Dance, showing children's innocence, happiness and joy; the last program is "Wandering Zi Yin" and "Chinese Language" jointly performed by Classes 5, 7, 8 and AP Class, which are funny and cute, attracting children's interest and love for Chinese. The program was interspersed with a speech by the principal of the Chinese school, Li Zhen. She thanked all the teachers and colleagues for their hard work this year, congratulated the students on their excellent academic performance, and encouraged the students not to forget to speak Chinese, read Chinese, and write Chinese during the holidays. She also welcomed everyone to go to the GPCCS.org Chinese school webpage to view the Chinese annual school magazine and school news. The entertainment program at the ceremony also included a TRIVIA question quiz and Director Pan Zhenyu presented awards to the 19 outstanding students in the Chinese composition competition.
