In order to encourage overseas Chinese to start their own businesses in the form of franchising and to assist domestic outstanding chain and franchise brands to open stores overseas, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission specially organized the "2012 Overseas Chinese Businessmen Chain and Franchise Entrepreneurship Observation Group" from August 26 to 31, 2012.
The activities include professional courses on chain franchising entrepreneurship (including global chain franchising trends, chain franchising essentials and brands, various preparations for entering the franchise, key factors for successful franchising, store operation and management business, etc.), guided tours of the "2012 Taipei Franchise Exhibition", visits to chain enterprises and business opportunities negotiation meetings, etc. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Council is responsible for event planning fees, course and venue fees, transportation fees, and meals. In addition to paying for transportation to and from the place of residence, and room and board during the event (or can be booked by the organizer), students are required to pay a registration fee of NT$3,000 (or US$100) upon registration. The fee includes tickets to the "2012 Taipei Franchise Exhibition", meals and insurance for study courses and corporate visits, etc. Those interested in registering should contact the Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center at 714-754-9999 or the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center at 626-443-9999 before July 30, 2012.
