Jinxin Real Estate News: 20% of the population in Greater Phoenix moved in 2011. In 2011, more than 21% of Phoenix residents moved. According to recent data, Phoenix has one of the highest moving rates in the country. New data shows that 78.9% of citizens did not move in 2011. At least 1 million city residents moved across the U.S. last year, with Austin and Las Vegas having the lowest resident stability. Across the United States, Phoenix's citizen stability rate ranks 457th out of 520 cities. There are many reasons for relocation, including buying a larger new house due to low housing prices, or choosing to go bankrupt and become a renter. There's also the resurgence of Phoenix's industry and the immigration that comes with new job opportunities. Tucson's stability rate is better, ranking 451st. In the Phoenix area, 16.9% of people moved within the state in 2011. 3.5% moved to Phoenix from out of state, and 0.75% immigrated overseas.
