Food, medical care, education, and culture are the four major real estate properties - Major events of Tzu Chi Phoenix Liaison Office in 2011 1. On January 15, 2011, 20 trainee Tzu Chi committee members and Tzu Chi committee members participated in a half-day internship held at the club. 2. On January 29, 2011, 170 guests participated in the annual year-end blessing, and 50 bamboo tubes were returned to their parents’ homes. 3. Participate in Chinese Culture Week activities on February 13 and February 14, 2011. 4. Free medical services were held on February 26, 2011. A total of 10 doctors, 10 nursing staff, 10 acupuncture trainee students, and 51 volunteers participated. A total of 255 patients were seen and 104 patients were treated. 5. On March 13, 2011, March 19-20, we raised funds on the streets for the earthquake disaster in Japan, and raised a total of US$37,000.00. 6. On the afternoon of April 9, 2011 at Diamondback Stadium, 10 volunteers raised funds for the earthquake disaster in Japan and raised a total of US$2,700.00. 7. On April 23, 2011, 14 trainee volunteers and charity committee members participated in the half-day volunteer trainee training held at the club. 8. On May 7, 2011, a total of 21 little Bodhisattvas from the Children’s Advanced Class graduated. 9. On May 15, 2011, Global Tzu Chi Day, about 160 members participated in the Buddha Bathing Day, Mother’s Day, and Tzu Chi Day, three events in one. 10. On June 18, 2011, 15 trainees participated in a half-day training program for volunteer trainee volunteers held at the club. 11. A study tour to Tzu Chi Technical College was held from August 1 to 13, 2011, with a total of 5 students participating. 12. On August 20, 2011, a $5 strength fund-raising event was held during the Ramadan month of July. A total of 80 members participated and a total of US$30,025.00 was raised to help children in Haiti. 13. On September 17, 2011, 15 medical staff provided free medical services at the Senior Citizen Center, serving a total of 71 patients. 14. A total of 180 members attended the Mid-Autumn Festival Thanksgiving Reunion on September 17, 2011. 15. On October 29, 2011, the second free medical service of the year, 12 medical staff saw a total of 117 patients and 370 consultations. 16. On November 4, 2011, 17 Tzu Chi committee members participated in the Tzu Chi Phoenix City volunteer training for half a day. 17. On November 13, 2011, winter distribution will be held at designated locations in low-income areas, including food for 70 households and $20 gift certificates for 20 households. 18. On November 23, 2011, 73 jackets, 26 Tzu Chi scarves and 6 Tzu Chi blankets were distributed to park residents. 19. On December 3, 2011, 138 grateful households participated in the Thanksgiving Tea Party at the clubhouse and received gifts and gift certificates. 20. On December 17, 2011, a total of 24 students from the Children’s Advanced Class attended the graduation ceremony. 21. In 2011, a total of 2,681 low-income households received targeted food distribution on Sundays. 22. In 2011, the club distributed food to a total of 11,748 households. 23. In 2011, hot meals were distributed to park residents, serving a total of 2,773 people. 24. Environmental recycling in 2011: 41,520 pounds of cardboard; 5,700 pounds of newspapers; 330 pounds of aluminum cans; 158 pounds of iron cans; and 395 pounds of plastic bottles.
