Honda recalls 2 cars due to suspected airbag defects Honda Motor Co. (Honda) recently announced a recall of 748,000 Pilot and Odyssey vehicles in the United States because the driver's seat airbag may be defective. Honda said the airbag may have been manufactured without some of the rivets that hold the plastic cover tightly together. Honda said: "Without the rivets, the airbag may not deploy properly, increasing the risk of injury to the driver in a crash." There is currently no news that any crashes or injuries are related to this issue. The issue affects the 2009 to 2013 Pilot SUV and the 2011 to 2013 Odyssey van. Honda will inspect these vehicles and replace the driver's airbag if necessary.
