With the active cooperation and enthusiastic assistance of the schools in the region, we united as one and worked together to successfully complete this training mission. In total, there are more than 128 Chinese schools of various types in the United States. 1,173 teachers, principals, and school committee members engaged in Chinese education participated in the training lectures, and 1,061 participants received training certificates. This is by far the largest large-scale teacher training by the National Chinese Schools Association, involving the most extensive schools and teachers and the largest number of people.
Due to the extensive knowledge, profound academic attainments, rich practical teaching experience and strong problem-solving skills of the members of the tour group, teachers have learned a variety of creative teaching concepts and techniques in modern Chinese teaching, as well as the uniqueness of words as a cultural carrier. The profound heritage and in-depth and simple theories; the witty speeches of the teachers brought out the essence of the extensive and profound Chinese characters and Chinese culture, which made the listeners feel that they benefited a lot. There were rave reviews from all over the country, and they all hope that such training can be held as much and as widely as possible when conditions permit. The members of the tour team spared no effort to travel long distances, and their dedicated professionalism also deeply educated the reception organizers and trainees in various places. In particular, in order to meet the strong needs of each school, the Central Line Tour Group overcame all difficulties and traveled to three more areas than originally planned in the past 20 days. Schools everywhere were moved and deeply educated. Professor Sheng Yuqi from the School of Liberal Arts of Shandong University, who is part of the Central Lecture Tour Group, became very popular in poetry during this non-stop busy schedule. He wrote a poem for each of the eight training points (published separately), expressing his ambition and passion to contribute to Chinese education. It is touching and admirable.
The association was able to successfully hold such a large-scale teacher training this time because of the hard work and enthusiastic dedication of all school leaders, teachers, and volunteers in the participating areas. Thanks to the strong support of our country of origin, and to more unknown doers, our Chinese amateur education in North America has thrived under the cultivation of so many people. (2013.9.15)
