(Contributed by the Overseas Chinese Federation) The Phoenix Chinese were one of the first ethnic groups to come to Arizona. This is the place where they live and rest. After many years of research by the cemetery managers and some Chinese scholars, it was confirmed that the "Ancestors and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery" contains the tombs of a group of the earliest Chinese and preserves the earliest Chinese tombstones in Alberta. In order to commemorate the outstanding contributions made by the Chinese ancestors and comfort the spirits of the older generation of overseas Chinese in Tianwang, the Phoenix Chinese Welfare Association established the "Chinese Ancestors Monument" in the cemetery. The Greater Phoenix Area Overseas Chinese Federation initiated the first collective public memorial at the historical cemetery at 10 a.m. on November 21, 2015 (Saturday). All groups and individuals are welcome to come together to pay their respects.

"Ancestors and Military Memorial Cemetery" is a federally recognized historical and cultural architectural site. Located within the state government district at 1315 W. Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85007
