A 12-year-old girl was accidentally shot by her 10-year-old brother on Tuesday morning, but her life was not in danger, Gilbert police said. Preliminary investigation revealed that the two children were from an Apache police family. A boy was playing with a gun and accidentally shot his sister. The girl was initially taken to Gilbert Mercy Hospital and later transferred to Phoenix Children's Hospital in stable condition.
