One person was injured in a shooting at an Arizona high school baseball field on Thursday. The shooting briefly closed the campus and an adult suspect was taken into custody. Cochise County police said the shooting occurred at about 3:15 p.m. at a high school in Wilcox, about 195 miles southeast of Phoenix. "One person was injured, possibly a student, with non-life-threatening injuries, and another person may be in custody," police spokeswoman Capas said. According to local police, police rushed to the scene immediately after the shooting and Wilcox High School was immediately closed. Later, the closure is lifted and students can leave, said Bell, the school's administrative assistant. "The children have been allowed to leave and the situation is gradually becoming clearer," Bell said by phone. Bell said she could not confirm the age, gender or identity of the injured or those being held. She said the person being held was an adult and the incident occurred at the school's baseball field.
